Special Pork Steaks

Serves 4


You will need:

300g jar of peppers in oil

1 x garlic clove

2 x courgettes

150g mozzarella cheese

4 x boneless pork loin steaks

2 tbsps white wine

Salt and pepper

Dijon mustard


To make this:

Drain the peppers and save the oil

Chop the garlic, trim and dice the courgettes

Drain the cheese and cut into about 8 slices


Heat 2 tbsps of the oil in a large pan

Add the pork, fry for 6 minutes turning once

Remove from the pan and keep warm

Add the garlic to the pan along with the courgettes and fry for 1 minute

Cover one side of the pork with mustard and place back in the pan

Stir in the peppers and wine and then season

Cover and simmer for 10 minutes

Remove the lid and reduce the liquid a little by tipping away

Place the cheese on top and grill until melted

Serve with mashed potato
